Blue Ridge Animal League was established in 2022.  Our mission is to provide health and wellness services to pets in our local communities, keeping pets and their humans together.

Medical Assistant (full-time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking person to join our team!  This person should have excellent customer service skills and a love of dogs and cats.  Duties include assisting our veterinarians with wellness exams, spay/neuter surgeries, and keeping the facility clean and up to clinic standards.  Other duties include patient check-in and discharge, pet parent education, answering phones, maintaining thorough records and data entry.

Applicants must be okay with handling dogs of all sizes and cats of all temperaments. A willingness to learn is an absolute must. This person should have basic computer skills and be organized and tidy.  The ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and to stand, sit or bend for extended periods.

Veterinarian (full-time and part-time)

Do you love making a difference for pets in your community?  We are currently looking for full-time and part-time veterinarians to perform a variety of wellness and spay/neuter services.  As an emerging organization, this position will have the unique opportunity to collaborate in the development of new programs and services.  We offer flexible scheduling allowing you to work one, or five, days per week.

Commitment to saving lives and providing high-quality customer service required.  Must have the ability to possess a valid license to perform veterinary medicine in the state of Virginia and DEA licensing.  New graduates are encouraged to apply!
