Dogs:
Canines are required to have a consultation prior to scheduling of any surgical procedure. There is no charge for this consultation. Dogs over 6 months of age must have proof of a 4Dx test within the last 90 days. If you do not have proof of this test, one will be performed during consultation for a fee of $44.00. You can schedule the pre-op appointment online by clicking the "schedule here" button below or you can call us at (434)616-4948.
We now require a surgery deposit of $30 for dogs. Please plan to have this with you at time of pre-op, so we can get your pet scheduled for surgery. Deposits will not be refunded for canceled or missed appointments. Appointments rescheduled with 2 full business days notice or more will be able to re-apply the same deposit to their new appointment. If appointments are rescheduled with less than 2 business days notice, a new deposit will be required.

In addition to fighting pet overpopulation in our community, there are many benefits to altering your pet. Altering your pet can deter bad behaviors such as spraying in cats, as well as mounting and marking objects in dogs. Spaying/neutering your pet prevents costly and life-threatening ailments, such as testicular cancer, mammary cancer and pyometra (infected uterus). Pet pregnancy and birth is associated with great risks which could be avoided with having your pet altered. Spay/neuter also takes away a pet's desire to roam decreasing your pets risk of becoming lost, injured or contracting an illness.
